KAREN SMILEY

Smiley has returned to the Country Club Events and Management business.  Her hospitality career started in 1987 as an Orange County Account Manager, and then in 1999 Karen was awarded the National Sales Manager position in the LA office of PRA Destination Management. A hospitality professional with expertise in event planning, tour and travel, and destination management, Karen was a past director of an in-house 5-Diamond Hotel, overseeing the Destination Services Department and off-site Catering. Karen has more than 28 years experience in the Travel & Hospitality industry. She is a California native, growing up in Northern and Southern California.  Karen had many opportunities to travel around the world but always returned to Southern California knowing what a wonderful place it is to live. She loves to show others what this magnificent club has invaluable benefits to offer.  She uses her local knowledge and industry connections every day in her work to create our guests a successful event and exceeding their expectations.

What are some of your favorite hobbies? Working in my garden and Wine tasting

What is an interesting fact about you? My life in hospitality started when I was 9 yrs old working each summer at my grandmothers Restaurant & Tea House in Nashville Tennessee

Where is your favorite place traveled? Kenya and Tanzania
